The CRAE Colonia Agricola operates continuously every day of the year, and hosts young people aged 14 to 18 years old who are under the guardianship of the DGAIA (Directorate General for Child and Adolescent Care) of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
At CRAE Colònia Agrícola, residential accommodation is understood as a protection measure intended to provide a place to live and coexist for all children and adolescents who, for any reason, cannot remain with their families.
Boys living in residential care are offered adequate satisfaction of their protection, education, and development needs. The center promotes the integral development of each boy, ensuring that all of their individual care and education needs are met, accompanying them to develop each one's capabilities.
Prioritize work on autonomy and the transition to adult life for boys aged 16 and up
Enhance integration and adaptation for newly arrived boys
Work on the reduction and prevention of school bullying and/or harassment cases
Support families and work towards family reunification as a priority
Maintain good hygiene habits for both individual and common spaces.
Enhance the monitoring and completion of training resources
Foster boys' participation in the center's dynamics
The CRAE Colonia Agrícola has a total of 26 places. The boys who are cared for there are attended by an educational team made up of 18 highly qualified professionals prepared in the field of children and adolescents at risk: social educators and administrative staff, a cook... who provide service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
