FIRST PROMOTION OF TRACTOR DRIVERS OF THE RAIMAT ARTS FESTIVAL

We are proud to announce that the young people from the Housing Program and Cultivate and Educate Program of Santa Maria de Gimenells participated in the First Training Tractor Operator Course And this Tuesday, July 18th, they were presented with their diplomas.

An initiative of Raimat Lleida Community Foundation with the collaboration of John Deere, Vicens Dealership, The Borges Blanques Agricultural School, the Department of Climate Action of the Generalitat, and the United Way Foundation.

It was a training focused on enabling students to do a Efficient, safe, and mechanically friendly basic tractor driving, three most valued in the hiring of tractor drivers.

During the training, the young people had no prior knowledge of tractor operation and had to opportunity to experience it before in your driving. During the course, The students presented themselves as willing, with a positive attitude, and paid attention to the theoretical explanations despite the language difficulties.

Driving exercises accounted for 80% of the sessions, were conducted on a personalized basis, and the young people were very motivated. Also They have been trained in occupational risk prevention, in addition to receiving training in the use of tractors and agricultural machinery.

As Mrs. Elena de Carandini (president of the FCRL) said “...The course improves the training of our youth, while also incorporating qualifications into the human capital of companies in our area.”
