The boys of Cultivate and Educate initiate the nut campaign to Santa Maria de Gimenells. We'll explain the process!

Once the walnuts are at the perfect point of ripeness, and many have begun to fall, the walnut trees are vibrated, one by one, to make the nuts that haven't fallen yet drop. This is done with a machine that attaches to a tractor. This is a very delicate task, as it must be done without damaging the walnut trees.

This way, all the nuts end up on the ground and can be collected all at once. Then, they are loaded onto the trailer and transported to the processing warehouse.

Although the work is highly mechanized, it takes several days to complete the entire harvest. These are very hard and stressful days where the weather plays a very important role in being able to pick them at their peak ripeness and have time to carry out the entire process calmly.

We hope to taste them very soon!
